THE STORY OF MRS V
Scarlett Vespa – also known as Mrs V – is a serial entrepreneur, creative, keynote speaker and founder of The Highland Woman® Club, Mrs V® Media and The Reconnected Human® Method.
After 25 years in media and advertising, working as one of Australia’s first female television commercial directors and later leading broadcast at Commonwealth Bank, Scarlett left an industry she loved due to sexism and a powerful desire to build something of her own. With decades of experience behind her, she was shocked by how quickly older women’s voices became invisible in the workplace.
That realisation lit a fire in her.
The birth of Mrs V – making older women visible
Mrs V began as a movement to support older women in the workforce – women with talent, experience and wisdom who were being overlooked.
Disturbed by how absent older women were from media and leadership conversations, Scarlett created The Mrs V Shift events at The Langham. Over a series of gatherings, she brought together more than 25 speakers and over 150 women, including the Minister for Women, Jane Caro and other prominent voices.
Those events confirmed what she instinctively knew: when you give women space, support and a microphone, they don’t just speak – they shift the room.
Building Mrs V® Media – helping others be seen
To sustain the movement, Scarlett built Mrs V® Media.
She immersed herself in end‑to‑end brand building, helping clients create their entire presence from scratch, including:
- brand positioning and storytelling
- logo and visual identity
- website design and development
- photography and videography
- social media and SEO
- complete marketing strategy and execution
When COVID hit, instead of shrinking, her business tripled. By leaning into her clients’ challenges, she helped them pivot, communicate clearly and stay connected to their customers. What could have been a disastrous time became, for many, surprisingly profitable and deeply clarifying.
This period solidified Scarlett’s belief: when people feel supported, seen and connected, they become incredibly resourceful.
A deeper calling – spirituality, humanity and the move
After her mother passed away, Scarlett’s spiritual and intuitive work deepened. She explored alternative therapies and returned to a lifelong question that had always sat beneath her love of branding:
What does it really mean to be human?
Who are we beneath the roles, the labels and now, the algorithms?
That curiosity led her to a new chapter in the Southern Highlands. Moving to the country brought nature, community and space into the centre of her life. Slower rhythms, real conversations and a closer relationship with the land reshaped her work and her sense of what truly matters.
The Highland Woman® – women, place and real connection
The Highland Woman® was born when Scarlett moved to the Southern Highlands and knew other women were craving the same thing she was: nature, beauty, space and genuine community.
The Highland Woman is a home for women who want purpose, inspiration and real connection – in person and online. It’s for women ready to live more fully and reconnect with themselves, each other and the place they call home.
Through Club Events, intimate gatherings, workshops, retreats and a carefully curated shop, Scarlett and the club champion authentic connections with like-minded women, brands & services, activities including art and music, story-telling and nurturing the soul. In a fast, noisy world, it’s a gentle space to land, exhale and belong.
The Reconnected Human® – staying human in the age of AI
Scarlett’s passion for helping both women and men understand the power of connection has only intensified as technology – especially AI – accelerates. Having worked closely with a tech company to bring an idea from concept to reality, she has seen from the inside both the promise and the pressure of rapid innovation.
In response, she created The Reconnected Human® Method – a practical framework built around seven ways to move from autopilot to fully alive. It is designed to help people and organisations lean into their humanity, not away from it, as AI and digital systems increasingly shape how we live and work.
At its core, Scarlett’s work is about one thing:
Helping people be fully seen – by themselves, by each other and by the world.
Whether it’s through:
- The Highland Woman® Club & Shop – women, place and genuine community
- Mrs V® Media – helping individuals, founders and small businesses be seen and heard
- Keynotes & The Reconnected Human® Method – guiding people and organisations from autopilot to fully alive
…the thread is always connection.
A serial entrepreneur at heart, Scarlett’s curiosity, creativity and love for people drive everything she builds. Her dedication to supporting women in finding purpose, inspiration and real connection – and to helping all humans navigate a rapidly changing world – makes her someone people want to be around, be inspired by and learn from.
