Article: 5 Different Techniques to Manifest Effectively

5 Different Techniques to Manifest Effectively

“Manifesting” is one of the most popular new terms to enter the public lexicon, with Google searches for the term ballooning more than 600 per cent within the year 2020 alone. It isn’t only millennials and Gen Z taking to crossing their fingers and saying “manifesting!” whenever they want something good to come into their lives—older people now recognise the expression, too.

Indeed, something about the philosophy of manifesting or turning desires into reality by speaking them out or consciously willing for them to happen currently resonates with people of all ages. But how does one go about manifesting? Is it enough to speak a thought into existence and then wait passively for the ball to start rolling? Or are there other, more concrete things you can do to manifest your intentions?

Some people like to practise a very mathematical approach to manifesting, such as using specific angel numbers or sound frequencies. Other manifesting practices, like creating personal sigils borrow from ancient lore. But some of the most effective ways of manifesting are simple. Here are some recommendations from AGERICH™ that will suit those who consider themselves beginners to the philosophy.

1. Visualise What It Is That You Want for Yourself

One foundational manifestation technique that any beginner can go back to is visualisation. The visualisation technique involves summoning a mental image of what you want to achieve, then using this as a guide for your subconscious mind so that the latter can help this reality materialise.

To visualise effectively and stimulate your subconscious mind try being as specific as possible. The more vivid and detailed your mental image of success is, the harder at work your brain will be to turn that idea of success into a reality.

On top of crafting a particular image for the success that you want to manifest, it would be good to imbue that image with your personal feelings. Think of how happy, excited, or grateful you’d be to see your goal come to fruition. Those feelings will charge your visualisation and make it more powerful, and they may even grant you the extra wilfulness and courage to see your vision through.

2. Summon the Power of Affirmation

You can also use the technique of affirmation to start manifesting your desires. Affirmations are positive statements about yourself or something you want to achieve. For example, you might say: “I am confident and successful,” or “I am attracting abundance into my life.” Repeating affirmations can help embed them into your subconscious mind and move you toward your goals.

There are lots of ways that you can verbalise effective affirmations. The simplest method is to say your affirmations out loud to yourself as many times as you want to. It’s best to do this while looking at yourself in the mirror to emphasise that you’re affirming yourself and not anyone else.

Another approach you can try is to write down your affirmation on a piece of paper or an index card and carry this physical representation with you throughout the day. Glance at the affirmation as many times throughout the day as you need to. If you prefer using technology over pen and paper, you can also record your affirmations on the voice recording app on your phone or tablet, and listen to it regularly.

You can even combine the affirmation technique with the visualisation technique. Start by closing your eyes and imagining yourself successfully achieving your goal. Welcome the emotions that come with your mental picture of success. Then, instead of just stopping at picturing this goal, say a positive affirmation about it out loud or write the related affirmation down to make it more concrete.

Whatever variation of this technique you choose, it is important to be clear about what you’re affirming yourself for and to be consistent in raising yourself. The deeper you are in your self-belief, the more likely you are to see your intentions manifest in your life.

3. Put Up a Vision Board

There’s also the option of creating a vision board for the intentions you want to manifest. Your vision board can contain images, quotes, mementoes, and other relevant visual representations of what you want to achieve.

Just as with affirmations, you can choose an analogue or “old-school” vision board with a cork board or other flat surface or make a digital counterpart using tools like Pinterest. Whichever medium you choose, you’ll have fun getting creative with your vision board, and the result may help you turn your dreams into concrete realities.

4. Write Manifestation Lists

Another technique for manifesting your desire is to write what’s called “manifestation lists” in a journal or notebook. For many people, the physical act of writing things down can already make them more careful and intentional about their thoughts. It goes hand in hand with the principle of manifesting, which in large part involves intentionality.

To make the writing experience feel even more powerful, dedicate a special notebook for your manifestation lists and use a special pen. You will end up relishing the habit and immersing yourself in a more positive mindset.

5. Try the Pillow Method

Lastly, you can try what is called “the pillow method” to activate your subconscious mind and influence the thought patterns you may have while sleeping. In the simplest terms, the pillow method works like this:

  1. Just like in one of the variations of the affirmation technique mentioned above, write down an affirmation for yourself on a piece of paper.
  2. Make it a regular habit to put that paper with your affirmation technique under your pillow.
  3. Try going to sleep with that affirmation being the last thing on your mind.

What may end up happening is that your affirmation will carry over into your dreaming subconscious and bring you closer to the reality you want to create.

While there are many different techniques that you can use to manifest effectively, it is advisable to find the ones that work best for you. Experiment with each method we have mentioned here and see which ones you like most.

Beyond employing these manifestation techniques, do remember to be patient with yourself as you work toward your goals. As long as you take consistent action, and assess where you are, to check if you are heading in the right direction, you will eventually achieve your goals.
